I love the Big Panda and Tiny Dragon series by James Norbury, and I just finished the fifth book in the series, though I read it in the Dutch translation. I quite enjoyed reading A Beautiful World, but this was by far the sloppiest Dutch translation. Some translations made little sense, and I even checked the original text. The grossest error was translating “shell” as “schelp” instead of “schild” because “tortoiseshell” is “schildpadschild” in Dutch. And that right next to an illustration of a tortoise! It did kind of ruin the experience for me.
