I haven’t reported on any books in June! 😱 While I was reading La Mémoire des Os – Livre 1 : Le Dragon et l’Oiseau during the month of June, that month was mostly spent on reading MSc and MEng theses, grading papers and exams, … The typical end-of-the-academic-year madness.

I finished La Mémoire des Os – Livre 1 : Le Dragon et l’Oiseau by Margot Looten. From what I understand, this is her first book (666 pages, by the way) and she immediately aimed for a trilogy… The ambition. I took note of some inconsistencies in the book, such as some weird dialogues where information is all of a sudden introduced, a character appearing and reappearing, etc. But then again, this is her first book, and even Tolkien’s books have some inconsistencies. By setting aside my “frustrations” for these inconsistencies, I must admit that I really enjoyed this fantasy cook.
